Gunfleet Sailing Club invites all sailors to our 2024 REGATTA...

Gunfleet is thrilled to tell you that our 2024 Regatta is on the weekend of 20th & 21st July and is kindly sponsored by Orsted – helping to create a world that runs entirely on green energy, and by Odiin – connecting the best talent across the world.  

On Saturday the 20th July it’s a day for the young sailors with the Gunfleet Cadet Day.  If you are under 18 years of age then why not join in the fun – the day looks like this:-

10:30 – Race Briefing
11:00 – Cadet Day “all in handicap” Race
12:30 – Lunch: The galley will be serving hot and cold refreshment
13:00 – Water-based Team games – plenty of sailing, seamanship, and swimming
14:30 – Cake-Break
14:45 – Back in your Teams for more lively activity on the water
16:30 – Off the water and pack the boats away
17:00 – Home-time
 

On Sunday the 21st July it’s a full day of racing for everyone (whatever age) and is open to absolutely anyone and everyone! 
10:30 – Race Briefing
11:00 – All-In Handicap Race for the RNLI Shield
12:30 – Lunch: The galley will be serving hot and cold refreshment and the bar will be open
13:30 – All-in Handicap Diamond Jubilee Race
...followed by Class Racing with separate courses to suit each class:
14:45 – Catamaran - for the David Foster Cat Challenge Trophy
14:50 – Topper - for the Mad Hatter Challenge Cup
14:55 – Comet - for the Tim Webster Tankard
15:00 – Solo & Europe - for the Emily Dixey Trophy
15:05 – GP14 – for the Bell Trophy 
15:10 – Laser - for the Paxton Jug
15:15 – RS Aero - for the Dave Fowell Trophy
15:20 – Menagerie (all classes not listed above) - for the 1893 Regatta Trophy
17:00 – Prize Giving
Those wishing to leave their dinghies overnight are welcome to do so in our secure compound.
