Gunfleet Quiz A Complete Sell Out

Gunfleet had a “House Full” sign up on Saturday 12 January when Teams of six took part in the 2013 Quiz Night.  Quizmaster Ian Power set some varied and interesting questions and the Teams went head to head throughout the evening.  At the halfway stage it looked like being anyone’s game and as the 60 members tucked into their finger food all thoughts were on the next round.  All too soon the final round was over, the answers checked, the scores added up and the winning Team declared – Carol, Yolande, Rachel, Mark, Charlie and Harry – officially the Gunfleet Brainboxes.  There were prizes for the first and second teams, and a consolation prize for the Team with the lowest score; but as Ian said “there was very little to split the first from the last”.  The Club’s thanks goes to Ian for providing such a good quiz and to Jon, Linda and Sandra for preparing an excellent buffet.  It was just a shame that the Club couldn’t squeeze any more Teams in as a number of members had to be disappointed as the event was oversubscribed.
